The Sacrament of Holy Orders is the Church’s way of calling and consecrating men to serve as deacons, priests, or bishops. Through the laying on of hands and the power of the Holy Spirit, they are configured to Christ the Servant and entrusted with leading God’s people. Those discerning a vocation to the priesthood or diaconate are encouraged to speak with the pastor, who can offer guidance and connect them with the Diocese of Gary’s vocation office for further support.
